Her passion for hair styling led her to attain a prestigious Red Seal endorsement, solidifying her exceptional skills in the field.

As a prominent figure in the “loc world”, Karen has had the privilege of presenting her expertise at renowned events. In 2020 she presented

online at the Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show and has graced the stage twice at the esteemed Natural Hair Industry Convention. These platforms have provided her with opportunities to share her knowledge and insights with students and colleagues alike.

In 2022, Karen is proudly affiliated with the esteemed Eikonic Hair and Barber Academy in Mississauga Ontario. In this exciting partnership, she offers a range of classes, courses, and workshops to eager students, imparting her wealth of knowledge and expertise. Through this collaboration, Karen continues to shape the future of hairstyling by nurturing and inspiring the next generation of talented locticians.

In addition to her impressive hairstyling career, Karen co-developed an innovative product line called Noggin Oil in 2018. This carefully formulated line of products caters specifically to the needs of locs, braids, and other parted and protective hairstyles. With Noggin Oil, Karen has demonstrated her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to elevating the hairstyling experience for her clients.

While teaching remains a significant focus for Karen, she still dedicates time to her valued clients. Operating from her private studio in the vibrant heart of downtown Toronto, Karen provides top-notch hairstyling services to a diverse clientele.
