Methodology

The Modlocks method is often referred to as felting or crochet. Sections of hair are woven together using a small crochet hook. This process is paired with other hair-locking techniques that are interchangeable to suit the needs of each client.

At Modlocks, we believe in allowing hair to be natural between appointments. Over-tightening can lead to unnecessary scalp tension. Unlike traditional palm rolling, re-twisting or interlocking services, Modlocks root maintenance is recommended less frequently—only 1 to 4 times per year depending on personal preference.
